Busy

I had forgotten how busy being in young women's can be. We just got finished doing the fundraiser for girls camp. It was exhausting. But we made more than enough to get all the girls to camp. It was a big success. I am glad we did all that work. The girls really worked hard too. They were awesome. I am loving being in there already. I really feel like I can make a difference in there.

Things at home are just as busy. I'm taking Cooper to practice, Caleb to practice and Lauren to dance. Cooper still hasn't gotten his game schedule. Then things will be even busier.

I was holding Adam earlier tonight because he couldn't stay asleep. I was really glad to be bale to hold him like that. He doesn't let me do that anymore unless he's hurt or sad for some reason. I was just thinking that I was so thankful for all my babies. I am truly blessed to be a mom. I can't imagine not being able to have kids. I feel for women who so desperately want children but can't have them. I am so grateful for all my kids. I love their smells. More the smells of the 3 little kids, than Cooper and Audry. They have an older kid smell. The little ones still have that sweet, little kid smell. I am so blessed to have them in my life.

Lauren has said a couple of times this week that she misses Kyan, Rose and Anita. So sweet! I really wish we had more of Craig's family around. I really hope that Darren can find employment here and not out of the state. But if that's what happens, then that will be too bad.

It's after 3:30am, and I can hardly think, so I better go to sleep. That's all for now.

Glad it's the weekend!!

I am so glad the weekend is finally here. The week went by pretty fast. It was a busy week though.

I watched Nicole on Wednesday. She and Lauren were so cute together. They held hands when we went on a walk. When they discovered that they both liked hide-'n-seek they were convinced they were twin sisters. It was pretty cute. They played really well together. I am glad Lauren has a few girls to play with. I think she will be very excited to see how many there are in kindergarten in a couple of years.

Thursday I had my first presidency meeting. It went really well. Marianne covered everything we needed to talk about and we got through it all. I am so glad we were able to do that and it only took a couple of hours. A very productive meeting. I am excited to be in there and serve with the women that are in there and to get to know the girls (again!).

Cooper and Audry got asked to be in math competitions for school. I am so proud of them and the hard work that they do. They are so smart. Cooper's attitude has been better lately. I have asked him to do things for me and he hasn't given me an attitude or rolled his eyes much. It makes things much more peaceful around here.

Caleb will play in his first soccer game tomorrow. He had one last week but missed it due to the wedding. He's really looking forward to it. I hope he does well.

I was reading Stephanie Nielson's blog yesterday and she had written to some lady that writes her mean emails!!! It sounds like it's some woman that is upset that Stephanie and her family get donations and that she went to the salon. What's up with that?! What business is it of hers what they do with donations? I felt very defensive when I read that. Even though I haven't met Stephanie I feel like I know her through reading her blog. I hope to someday meet her. She also had some man stare at her at Kmart. How rude! Some people have no decency. She was also glad that her little boy reached out to her when he got hurt. How sweet! I was happy for her.

Not much planned for the weekend. Mostly cleaning around the house and some yard work. That's all for now!

A great weekend!

We had an awesome weekend with Craig's family. Anelle's son Jonathan got married Saturday. Anita, Marc, Kyan and Rose came into town for that. It was so nice to spend time with them. We really wish we had more of his family closer to us. I have amazing in-laws!!!

Friday night Anita and Marc came in late. Saturday we drove to Missouri for the wedding. Then came home. Sunday Anita came to church with us. I got a new calling. I'm the new YW's secretary. I was very nervous about what calling they would give me. But I am excited to be in there again. I don't think it will be as difficult and time consuming as being the president or one of the counselors. I am glad I know some of the girls already.

After church we went to Darren's to have dinner with everybody. Then Kyan and Rose came and spent the night here and spent Monday with us. It was so fun to have them here and get to know Rose better. She's such a sweetheart. They are expecting their first baby and are so excited about it.

We had beautiful weather while everybody was here. I hope it continues to stay nice. Craig has started planting some stuff and I'd hate to lose any of it due to frost or rain. I am looking forward to fresh produce again. Fresh salsa... yummy!!

After the wedding I was thinking a lot about the gospel and how thankful I am for it. I am so thankful that we are active and involved in the church. I know I complain about there being too much going on at times and how I wish we didn't have callings but I know it's good for us. I know we are receiving so many blessings for being willing to serve. I am so thankful that Craig and I are teaching the kids about the church and choices. I am so glad I have a temple marriage and pray that all my kids get married in the temple. I think I would be devastated if I didn't see them get married in the temple. I remember traching my Miamiads in Kuna about temple marriage and telling them I would love to someday get their marriage annoucements for a temple marriage. Some have gone to the temple and others haven't. It's sad to see those that haven't made it there. There's always hope though.

The kids had a blast with all the family that we got to see. I wish we had the money to fly and see them all more often. When I told Caleb grandma Skeem would be leaving Monday he said: "That wasn't very long!" And Lauren said: " I love grandma Skeem" They really love having her here. It was too bad Galen wasn't able to come. Maybe when they get released from serving in the temple they will come visit.

So that's all for now. Later!

HaPpY EaStEr!!

Today was Easter as well as General Conference weekend. It was a beautiful weekend. The weather was perfect. Conference was good. I must admit I didn't watch too many talks, I kept falling asleep. I have a real problem with that when conference is on. Not good.

We had a relaxing weekend. Took the kids to an Easter egg hunt at the Cider Mill. It lasted about 1 minute, if that! They had fun though. Darren came over with the kids. Stephanie was out of town so she didn't make it. They came over after the first session, we ate and then watched the 2nd session. The kids had a lot of fun. Adam has really gotten into chasing after the big kids the last few time we've seen the Gardner Skeems. It's pretty cute!

Not much else to report. Later!
