We finally got our first BIG snow storm of the season. It was so bad that school was cancelled 2 days in a row. That's a first since we've lived here. It's been pretty cold so the snow hasn't completely melted. There's supposed to be another snow storm later this week.

I hurt my back Friday night and I am still in a lot of pain. Unbearable pain. I've gone to the chiropractor twice and he said he hopes to have me better by Wednesday. I have a bad feeling about this though. I can't sit or sleep. Walking seems to help for a littel bit. Hopefully it gets better VERY soon.

Audry won her school spelling bee! She and Cooper had told me they were competing and the date but then they came come and said they had already done it. Early. Audry falied to tell me she had made it to the finals on the date they originally told me. So missed it. Now she's going to the county spelling bee in February. Looking forward to that. Hope she does well.

This past weekend was a weird one. Cooper left school early to go on a campout. Audry went home with a friend and spent the night there. So Friday night was just the 3 little ones home with Craig and me. It was odd not having both Cooper and Audry home. Sometimes it's just one or the other that isn't home. They are getting older and growing up so fast.

I have noticed Cooper's attitude improving quite a bit. Not sure what's changed, but I'll take it.

Adam had become quite the little liar. The other day he asked Craig something and he told him to ask me. I said : "We'll see." Adam turned right around and told Craig I had said yes! Stinker!! He's only 2. He's going to send me to my grave early.

Lauren continues to worry me. She is so ready for school, except emotionally. She still cries all the time for the smallest things. We have tried talking to her, but nothing seems to work. It's really worrying me. I don't want to keep her home, but I don't want to send her to school when she's such a mess. She still has a little while, so hopefully she will improve.

We got an email from Caleb's teacher, Mrs. Harding a while ago. She was expressing her concern at his lack of motivation and concentration in school. She said that whenever it ws time to get to work he stalled in any way possible. Either by going to the bathroom, talking or just goofing off. She said she would like to recommend him to the gifted program but only if he could show her that he could do what was asked of him. We've had many talks with him and I hope they are doing some good. He has had a couple of instances where he got in trouble for talking at lunch but I think it's the stupidest thing, so I don't get after him for that. She doesn't want to have a spring parent/teacher conference so I hope that's good news. He still really enjoys karate and we've told him that's something that will get taken away if he doesn't get his act together.

These kids!!! They're going to make me go gray early and put me in the looney bin.

Good: realizing the other day that nobody in our family has gotten sick this winter. Yet. We'll keep our fingers crossed.
Not so good: Not having strong enough pain medicine to get rid of this paiful back :P
