Things done/seen/heard around the house

This morning on our way home from dropping the kids off at school:
Adam: look mom the sun is out
me: yea, it's trying to come out
Adam: I think it's stuck
*It really was stuck. It was behind some clouds and it looked like it was trying really hard to come out!

Poor Audry. She was told she would be in the spelling bee. So Adam and I were there with the camera ready to see her in action. Only to be told she would not be participating. She came in 2nd and only those that came in 1st place would compete, different than in elementary school which they failed to tell us. I felt really bad for her, she looked heartbroken :(

Cooper started the wrestling season kind of rough but the last 2 meets has done pretty well. He came in 3rd this last Saturday! 2 more meets to go :D

Caleb finally got his yellow belt!!! He doesn't practice so he should have gotten it long ago, but he was pretty proud of himself. Found out he created a club at school. The S.A.D. club which stands for secret agent detective. He said most of his friends are in it and that there's also a happy club. And of course you can't be a member of both clubs! The Bear!!!

Lauren is really coming along with her reading. She is starting to read just about everything that can be read. She has discovered how fun reading can be! Galen and Anita came to visit and she really enjoyed seeing them :)

I got a new calling. RS activities coordinator. I got released as the bulletin person and activity days leader. It's going to be a lot of work! But we aren't meeting every month so that should help.

The temple open house is in April!!!! YAY =D we have been waiting a long time and it is finally here. We can't wait. Going to the temple will be even more awesome now that it's closer!

Our water heater went out Christmas Eve. Great timing. Long story short, they didn't have the part they needed, it came in, didn't fix the problem, almost $700 later and almost a week with no hot water, we had to get a new one :p Craig was taking really short, freezing cold showers before work. And the rest of us boiled water in all our big pots we had and bathed. Cooper got lucky and had hot showers after wrestling practice! Quite something :)

Cooper got his learner's permit. I let him drive home from the school and thought we might die. Not much more I can say about that. We'll pray and cross our fingers with that whole thing!
