This is an update of what happened this summer and in late spring.
Cooper turned 15!!! Just realized we have no pictures of his birthday. He got turtles for his birthday and picked them out so it wasn't a surprise. The night of his birthday he went out with some friends so we didin't have cake because Craig wasn't home. We didn't sing happy birthday or anything :( Will have to fix that! He's still practicing driving and doing much better. He lost his permit so we need to replace that now. He went to Nashville for TSA and to D.C. with some of the freshman. He had a really good time in D.C. He started 10th grade! He has some pre-AP English homework to do over the summer and like most teenagers he procrastinated and waited until the last minute.
Audry is starting 7th grade. She has started wearing a little make-up. Some mascara and lip gloss. She has been such a big help to me, especially with the little kids. She went to the school dance on Friday but of course didn't dance because that's not what you do at a dance! She also spoke in a British accent in honor of the summer Olympics being held in London. I was mum and Craig was pappa.
Caleb had his little school program at the end of school. He and his friend Maddy were Jack and Jill. Pretty cute! Maddy lives in the neighborhood and almost everyday she comes ringing the door bell to see if Caleb can play. They have spent quite a bit of time together. He and Kael were quite the entrepenours at the family reunion. They got the brilliant idea to start charging people for a foot massage. It hink Caleb made about $5. He has been doing that all summer. Earning money for things he wants. So far he has bough a scooter and a hamster. Next he wants another Wii remote and nunchuck. The bear!! Caleb also turned 8 and got baptized!!! We had the baptism with another little boy from the ward, Johnny Thompson. We didn't have any family there but we had friends come and show their support. It was a really nice baptism. Caleb started 3rd grade and Broadmoor. We're hoping he behaves himself so he can walk to school and maybe even take karate again. We'll see.
Lauren had her little program at the end of the last school year too. They have a program for the moms and a little treat after. So sweet. She has been our toothless little girl and spring and summer. She has lost so many teeth!! We had to cut her corn off. She also learned how to ride her bike!! She practiced her swimming quite a bit this summer. Maybe next summer she won't need her floaties!
Adam is going to be the death of all of us. He started preschool and it has been all he's talked about the sooner we got to school starting. but according to him, he wasn't excited to start. I got a little emotional but not bad. Not like with Cooper! Adam mostly keeps up with the other kids. He takes off to go to Maddy's or Wyatt's without telling me. He wants to get paid to do the lamest things. He thought I would be sad because I will be home all alone while they're in school. HA!
I'm still just driving the kids everywhere. The summer wasn't too bad with activities though. I was sad to see the pool close and have school start again. I really enjoy doing whatever we wanted. Which was mostly going to the pool. It is so nice to be able to take a book and actually be able to read it! I don't have little kids to chase after. LOVE it!! I was so into the Olympics this year. They were AWESOME. I am amazed at what the body is capable of and the dedication those athletes have. Missy Franklin, Michael Phelps, Gabby Douglas are just a few names that were unreal. Oh and Misty May Traener and Kerry Walsh Jennings. Love those girls!! Having a hard time not being able to watch the Olympics :(
That's all for now.
